Trainer and Assessor – TAE40122 Certificate IV in Trainingand Assessment
Alana Kaye College is a multi-award winning Registered Training Organisation (RTO) (70056). We cater to both domestic and international students, with state of the art campus’ in Darwin, Northern Territory and Gold Coast, Queensland. We are currently seeking a Trainer and Assessor to deliver quality Training and Assessment in TAE40122 Certificate IV in Trainingand Assessment, TAE skillsets and Upgrades from TAE40116 to TAE40122 to a diverse cohort of students.
The position is based in our Darwin campus and is available as a full-time role.
Job Description:
As a Trainer and Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering Training and Assessment, curriculum / course material development, assessment of student work, and reporting of results.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Develop and conduct training sessions for the above qualifications and other related courses
- Facilitate and assess student's assessment for units of competency
- Participate and contribute to validation and moderation of learning resources and Assessments
- Identify and assess students that need additional learning support and provide feedback in a timely manner
- Student file management
- Maintain, develop, and modify learning resources and Assessment tools as required
- Participate in industry consultation activities and new programs as required
Skills and Qualifications:
- TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or relevant higher education qualification
- TAE40122/TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Experience in engaging, inspiring, and training in this sector
- Experience developing and updating training packages in line with relevant industry and compliance standards
- Current driver's license
- High level organisational, administrative, and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds
Desirable:
- Ability to travel to remote/regional locations when required
- Knowledge and understanding of VET compliance and standards, and commitment to undertake ongoing professional development both in the areas of Training and vocationally competency
- Clear understanding of the RTO Standards 2015, and willingness to remain qualified to train and assess to groups and in the workplace
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, LMS
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
