About the Role
This HSE Advisor position provides a range of corporate and project HSE support duties. The role is suited to somebody is who is experienced and confident working in both office and site environments. The role reports to the HSE Manager and is a great opportunity for someone with experience in high-risk environments such as construction, commissioning and/or brownfields sites that is looking to build upon their existing skills and knowledge.
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to the implementation and continual improvement of the Enscope Health, Safety and Environment Management System to maintain ISO certification status;
- Provide coaching and guidance to the business on HSE expectations, obligations, roles and responsibilities;
- Monitor and report on health, safety and environment performance;
- Conduct health, safety and environment inspections and audits, including management of corrective actions;
- Ensure hazards and incidents are reported and appropriately investigated in accordance with Enscope and Client requirements;
- Prepare Project HSE Plans and Procedures to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with Client and applicable legislative requirements;
- Facilitate Project HAZID workshops inclusive of reporting and project risk register development;
- Provide adhoc site based HSE support on projects where necessary.
Essential Qualities and Background
- Demonstrated organisation skills, including the ability to set priorities, manage time and plan work to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work as an effective member of a team, as well as the ability to exercise independence and judgement when required.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Competent in report writing and the use of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Experience working in high-risk environments such as construction, commissioning and/or brownfields sites
- Demonstrable understanding of WHS legislation, codes of practice, Australian Standards and ISO Standards (45001 and 14001).
