HSE Advisor

HSE Advisor wanted for a Multidisciplinary Civil Contractor providing both site based inspections and helping implement and update current policies.

HSE Advisor required for a Civil Contractor based in Sunshine Coast working across North Brisbane and Sunshine Coast.
The Client
You will be working for a multidisciplinary Civil Contractor that is reasonably new, but has already built a good client base, and has been growing steadily. They work across Civil Construction and are starting to work on more Tier 1 projects and with government clients.
The Role and Responsibilities
You will be the HSE Advisor continually improving their safety systems and processes. As the company is growing and looking to attain ISO accreditation, you will be implementing policy processes to help achieve this and working closely with the site teams and management, you will help drive continued safe systems of work and maintain and evolve the ISO Management Systems,

• Develop, maintain, and enhance business systems to align with ISO Compliance
• Conduct Audits and assist with SWIMS
• Provide guidance to staff and sub-contractors on how to safely undertake their work and comply to the required Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems and HSEQ legislative requirements.
• Ensure the integrity of HSE Management System and conformity to the requirements of Australian Standards relating to Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality

Requirements

• Qualifications in OH&S
• 2+ years of WHS experience within construction
• Strong understanding of latest OH&S legislation
• Excellent communication & problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• A good friendly attitude and a team player
• Preferably someone who has worked in other roles in construction
