We are looking for an experienced Senior Health, Safety & Environment Advisor to join the HSE team on a 15-month fixed term parental leave contract based in our beautiful Hamilton office. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development, implementation and management of best practice HSE and WHS operational processes and compliance.
About the Role:
- Site based support and guidance to personnel on our HSE processes and systems
- Assisting with the development, implementation and review of Risk Management processes; including SWMS and Risk Assessments
- Writing and reviewing documents
- Facilitate HSE training programs to internal stakeholders
- Completion and follow up of audits and inspections
- Implementation and follow up of corrective actions, audit findings and control measures
- Maintaining close communication and follow up with site teams
- Development of HSE based documentation; including policies and procedures, templates and tools
- Day to day administrative duties, including but not limited to shared inbox management and first point of contact for the HSE team
- Contractor management
You bring:
- Cert IV in Health & Safety or equivalent
- Solid experience in HSE, Risk Management, Compliance
- Current knowledge of legislative requirements, including but not limited to Work Health and Safety laws, building code compliance, fire safety, food safe standards and company food safety program
- Previous experience within the property, tourism, manufacturing, construction or high risk industries highly regarded
- Proficient in Microsoft suite with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement risk management tools, risk assessments, SWMS, SOPs, audit and inspection tools and other safety related templates and reporting
- Document control and systems management experience
- Ability to problem solve and communicate effectively within a team environment
