SalaryWe are looking for a motivated Health and Safety Advisor to provide dedicated health and safety support. The role will also partner with other teams to support the safe delivery of services and projects.
- Educate, communicate and engage with site leaders and site personnel
- Analyse data and ensuring compliance with the company's Safety standards and legislative requirements
- Support and participate in the investigations to prevent repeat incidents occurring
- Work across the health and safety function to support the standardisation and simplification of systems and processes
- Recommending key control methods (considering the hierarchy of control) for health and safety risk reduction and evaluate control effectiveness
- Participate in and facilitate risk register reviews
- Support the delivery of strategic safety initiatives
- Lead and support business wide health and safety improvement initiatives
- Conduct health and safety assurance and governance activities
- Tertiary or certificate qualification in health, safety, engineering or related field.
- Operational experience in the application of Health and Safety systems.
- Experience in supporting the safe delivery of operational and maintenance related projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently but effectively in a cross functional team.
- Excellent influencing and engagement skills.
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- White Card
- Current Drivers License
- RIO/BHP/FMG current inductions (preferrable)
