NeoWest Building Company are a well-established organisation, primarily servicing a major Pilbara iron ore producer across the Pilbara. We seek experienced HSE Advisor for an ongoing housing refurbishment project in the Pilbara for immediate start.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience working in both construction and a mining resources environment
- Ability to work on site, from Perth office and remotely
- Cert IV training and assessment
- Cert IV OH&S or Diploma
- Excellent communication skills
- A current Driver's license
- Ability to pass medical and D&A screens
Responsibilities
- Ability to direct safe working practices to trades and laborers in a mining & resources contracting environment.
- Provide HSE admin support to site team.
- Manage HSE communication to all stakeholders.
- Ensure ongoing WHS compliance for the company, including DMIRS and in particular our asbestos removal obligations.
- Ability to implement correct PPE, including fit-testing.
- Manage workforce training/skills and currency, deliver VOC training.
- Maintain training matrix and direct training requirements.
- Management of tool, vehicle and plant maintenance and tagging and compliance.
- Conduct site inspections and train or discipline personnel where appropriate.
- Provide and maintain a recent model smartphone in working order.
- Deliver presentations to clients and others at safety meetings and conferences.
