SalaryThis is a fantastic opportunity for a HSE Coordinator to take a step up into an advisory level position. This newly created role will see you report into the HSE Manager and work across the organisation. You will collaborate closely with leadership and frontline staff to develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety protocols and procedures.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry trends, advising management on compliance matters.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
- Enjoy working in a mix of both office and sites (located in South East Queensland).
- A positive attitude and keen interest in progressing your career as a HSE professional
- Bring a continuous improvement mindset to you role, always looking for ways to drive efficiencies
- Minimum qualification Cert IV Work Health Safety
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail or manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Intermediate experience in using excel and other Microsoft products.
