About the role As a Banking assistant at CTM, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial operations related to banking and financial transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and an understanding of banking processes. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external financial institutions to facilitate efficient and monitoring of financial transactions. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to banking activities Provide support for audits by ensuring all relevant banking documentation kept up to date and readily available Stay informed about changes in banking regulations and compliance requirements. Implement and enforce internal controls to mitigate financial risks. Liaise with external financial institutions to investigate and address banking-related issues and inquiries Collaborate with internal teams to gather and provide necessary financial information Prepare and maintain documentation for all financial transactions Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Maintain and update customer and vendor bank account information. Assist in opening and closing company bank accounts as needed Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure timely and accurate recording of cash transactions. Monitor and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Minimum intermediate level experience in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Familiarity with banking software and online platforms Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Experience in the travel industry either finance or operations is desirable, but not essential Formal qualifications in finance, accounting or related field (e.g., Tertiary degree or equivalent completed) Previous experience in banking or finance roles preferred.
