What Success Looks Like:This role aims to continue to foster proactive safety improvements in processes, behaviour, and human factors. This will be achieved by effectively coaching and mentoring staff members, leading to the ongoing enhancement of the safety management system.
Key Activities and Responsibilities include:Develop and maintain a safety management system that ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, minimises accidental exposures, and promotes continuous improvement. Implement and facilitate audit programs to assess the safety management system's (SMS) effectiveness, evaluating HSE impacts of procedures and processes. Prepare compliance reports for regulatory authorities and actively maintain and enhance the site's safety culture, including hazard assessment, control of critical safety measures, and promotion of safe practices.
Lead in chemical safety risk assessment, compliance, and management of the Chemicals Database, ensuring thorough safety considerations in all procedures. From day one, you will need:A Diploma in HSE or other tertiary qualification in HSE or Chemical EngineeringPrevious experience in an HSE position
Knowledge of handling dangerous goods and hazardous substances
