We are currently seeking a talented HSE DELIVERY MANAGER - SHUTDOWNS to join our team, contributing to our continued growth and being a pivotal part of our achievements.
Based in our West Perth office you will be instrumental in integrating Corporate and Operational initiatives and activities to prevent harm and mature the divisional safety culture resulting in high safety performance. Your primary role is to partner with the shutdown divisional operations leaders to plan and undertake work across all divisional work areas.
OUR ROLE
- Partnering with the shutdown leadership team you will assist in the development of high performing teams to deliver works safely
- Lead or support development and review of works specific risk assessments, plans or bespoke strategies to meet operational requirements
- Coordinate and monitor activities and development of the Shutdown HSE team
- Prepare HSE related performance reports and present to stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop improvement Action Plans
- Regular site visits to operational areas to evaluate the HSE system implementation, provide coaching and mentoring and undertake operational HSE activities including on site support in contingency situations
- Lead significant event investigations and prepare and present associated reports
- Deliver on assigned actions within the assigned timeframe and produce professional documents & communications
- Assist with effectively and rapidly responding to serious events including travel to operational work areas
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience (min. 5yrs) working in the Mining industry with specific emphasis on shutdown works essential
- Significant experience working for a Contractor (not just client side) is a must
- Relevant Cert IV/Tertiary qualifications (Degree or Diploma) in Health and Safety management or 15yrs+ experience in lieu of Degree
- Site experience (specific to shutdowns) is essential - this role will require site visits
- A blend of both Corporate and Projects experience would be highly desirable
- Able to work with minimal supervision and willing to undertake a significant level of data processing, attend meetings and work collaboratively with personnel across all business units
- Experience leading & building teams and demonstrating a high level of attention to detail with exceptional knowledge of HSE management processes
- Proficient understanding of business acumen and demonstrated ability to achieve high standards within both budgetary and schedule constraints
