About the role:
As the Manager of RT Health’s Business Engagement & Analysis (IT Applications) team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our RT health core applications & systems. You will lead a team responsible for managing and optimizing various Business Applications critical to our operations. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing efficiency, data accuracy, and customer experience.
Key Tasks:
- Oversee the daily operations of all core applications and systems supporting RT Health business functions. i.e. operations, claims, contact centre & member services, marketing & sales.
- Manage complex customer service issues that exceed the scope of junior team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to private health insurance.
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for RT Business Applications aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and system enhancements
- Motivate and lead a team of Business Analysts, Developers, Testers responsible for application support and maintenance.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, cyber security, regulatory and compliance standards.
- Manage vendor relationships with existing external vendors and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Assess risks associated with application changes, upgrades, and migrations.
- Implement and manage HCF’s enterprise and operational risk framework, risk registers and operational control testing
Essentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in managing IT Business Applications, preferably in the private health insurance industry.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of private health insurance processes and operations.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Experience working with outsourced IT applications vendors and in-house support teams.
Desirable:
- Experience with Australian private health insurance core applications system such as P21, HAMBS, Civica, New Health
- Exposure to CRM systems such as Salesforce, ZOHO
