A leading global logistics company is looking for a HSE Manager with MHF experience on a permanent basis. This role will be based in Arndell Park with no travel required.
Your new role
The HSE Manager will report to the Sector lead, HSE - Chemicals, this role offers the opportunity to upskill your current operational safety management experience to prepare for and submit the sites MHF Safety case. Responsible for operational safety and compliance alongside the Site Manager, we're looking for an engaging and personable safety professional who can focus on the sites safety case and has an understanding of what is involved in this.
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting with the management, development, maintenance and submission of the MHF sites Safety Case, Emergency Plans and the sites regulatory 'license to operate' certifications and other licenses/ permits.
- Providing HSE leadership, technical support and knowledge at site level, in relation to Major Hazard Facility or Dangerous Goods regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Conduct Audits and Risk Assessments and manage any incident investigations using ICAM.
- Develop, coordinate, deliver and report on the sites safety programs that enable operational compliance.
- Provide technical expertise into the identification and management of all HSEQ and MHF risks related to the site's activities.
- Identify and interpret legal requirements and provide operational advice and guidance to manage risks and ensure compliance.

What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualifications in work health and safety
- Experience and knowledge of a Major Hazard Facility or Dangerous Goods site safety
- Knowledge of the legislative and regulatory requirements and Australian Standards pertaining to Dangerous Goods would be advantageous
- Experience liaising with key regulators and other external stakeholders
- Warehouse and transport experience will be highly regarded
- Dangerous Goods and Auditing qualifications/ training are desirable
