We are currently have an opportunity to join our team working from our Loganholme office. Reporting directly to our HSEQ/HR Manager, your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Conducting scheduled and impromptu audits, inspections, and observations
- Creating, coordinating, and delivering toolboxes across a number of projects and sites
- Regular site presence, including pre-starts, safety walks and inspections
- Establishing and implementing a structured programme of health & safety training throughout the Company.
- Preparing HSE reports and presenting findings and statistics to HSEQ Manager
- Addressing HSE incidents/work outside of ordinary hours when necessary
- Maintaining currency and general knowledge with all HSE legislation updates and communicate and implement all relevant changes to the business
- Constantly promoting a positive safety culture, through positive communication
- Conduct reviews of the HSE aspects of the Subcontractors evaluation and pre-qualification process.
- Conduct reviews of the HSE aspects of the Onboarding of Subcontractors process
- Ensuring that all HSE policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are implemented and adhered to companywide.
- Attending project sites across Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast
- Required to attend some time in our Head Office in the Sunshine Coast
Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum Cert IV in WHS
- Cert IV in TAE (desirable)
- Working knowledge of WHS Legislation and Best Practice
- Proven track record of implementing change through positive communication
- Previous work experience in the civil construction sector (highly desirable)
- Ability to effectively prioritise and manage time and workload.
- Industry induction (blue/white card)
- Current drivers Licence
- Strong communication skills and high levels of motivation
