HSEQ Advisor - Southern Bowen Basin

We are currently seeking applications from experienced HSEQ Advisors for an 8/6 roster roving position across our southern Bowen Basin projects (currently Baralaba, Callide, Jellinbah and Yarrabee). A Company Vehicle will be provided to you to travel between sites and to and from home.
Reporting to the HSEQ Superintendent, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Providing advice to Project teams based on legislative requirements and company philosophy (mentoring & coaching role to key players)

Supporting and assisting supervisors and employees on daily health, safety and environmental issues * Playing a key role in the implementation of Project Safety and Environmental Plans

• Maintaining records and the HSEQ database
• Conducting regular workplace inspections and audits
• Participating in incident investigations
• Driving the corrective actions register
• Building good attitudes and behaviours towards safety
• Conducting inductions where required
• Assisting the team to develop JHA's
• Coordinate the site emergency procedures when required
• Stay up to date with relevant HSEQ legislation

Experience/Qualifications required:

• Cert IV in WHS/OHS or higher
• Excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and reuirements
• Exposure to Mining or Civil work environments
• Standard 11
• Intermediate computer skills
• S123 and G2
• ICAM
• Apply First Aid
• Drug and Alcohol Testing qualification
• Auditing qualification or experience
