This terrific civil contracting business has etched their name on many civil and infrastructure projects in WA’s South West region over a sustained period. They have considerable work in hand to deliver in the next few years, and with several looming major projects in the South West that will further boost their order book. They now require an HSEQ COORDINATOR to join their business in Bunbury for the long term on permanent basis.
About the Role
In the capacity of HSEQ COORDINATOR based in Bunbury, you will be given the autonomy and responsibility to fully manage the HSEQ function across the business with a continuous improvement focus. You will be responsible for ensuring HSEQ compliance across all project sites in the South West, and for any required revisions, updates or amendments to the company’s corporate HSEQ management system. You will join a highly accomplished management team and manage a junior HSEQ Officer on a daily basis. The HSEQ COORDINATOR will be focused on achieving the key deliverable of an injury-free and hazard-free work environment for all project teams. You will be a focal point for engaging with site teams to boost their HSEQ knowledge and increase overall engagement through toolbox meetings and daily pre-starts, and undertaking site inspections. This role will suit a proven HSE COORDINATOR , or a HSEQ ADVISOR looking to work in a role where they can influence HSEQ outcomes. On offer will be a terrific remuneration package CIRCA $130K Base + Super, laptop & phone , and a start ASAP pending your current situation.
Skills, Qualifications and Other Requirements
- Formal qualifications in HSEQ – Degree, Diploma or CERT IV OH&S
- Stable work history with a minimum 5+ years’ recent experience working for Civil Contractors in HSEQ roles in Western Australia
- Proven experience managing HSEQ functions on civil projects involving Earthworks, Drainage/Road Construction (MRWA), and Watercorp work
- Strong understanding of AS / NZS ISO 9001 – 2015, AS/NZS 4801, AS/NZS ISO 14001-2004, AS/NZS 18001-2007.
- Currently Bunbury based or within easy daily commute distance
- Excellent all-round communication skills and great ability to impart knowledge to positively influence the overall HSEQ culture
- Strong attention to detail to ensure HSEQ systems and policies are maintained and always compliant to current legislation.
- Existing rights to live and work in Australia
- Able to provide 2 favorable references from the last 5 years
- Available within 4 weeks’ notice period
- Clean WA C Class Drivers Licence
