Our team comprises 70 staff supported by a range of contractors providing 24-hour support to South East Water customersThe HSEQ Project Lead will champion the team against the project working with our client, South East Water. In this role, you will provide specialist HSEQ leadership in order to implement the HSEQ systems and processes that assist the delivery of industry leading HSEQ outcomes for Service Stream and South East Water.Nature of position: Permanent, Full-TimeLocation: Dandenong, Melbourne VICReporting Line: HSEQ Operations Manager Water SectorKey Responsibilities:
- Management of our business HSEQ systems within the project, including the implementation of new or updated polices, systems, programs, and legislative changes
- Providing specialist HSEQ advice and support to the project team
- Coaching and advising management and workers on meeting their work health and safety duties
- Promoting a safe and positive work culture, role modelling safety leadership principles
- Conduct of field inspections and safety interactions to verify HSEQ systems implementation
- Coordinating workforce training requirements
- Complete project HSEQ reporting internally and externally
- Lead incident investigations
- Support injury management and return to work processes
- Demonstrated experience in an HSEQ leadership role in civils and electrical environments with a strong quality background, highly regarded
- Working knowledge of OHS Legislation, Standards, relevant Compliance Codes, and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
- Strong skills in auditing and investigation
- A current driver’s license
- Ability to develop partnerships with a range of stakeholders including senior management, staff, clients, regulatory bodies and the community
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly regarded
