THE ROLE
Reporting to the General Manager, the HSEQ Systems Advisor/Manager will play a pivotal role in upholding and enhancing the company's operational procedures and systems across all projects. This position requires a diligent individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are consistently met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct regular site visits to perform audits and checks, ensuring adherence to quality, work health & safety, and environmental management standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement robust risk management plans and strategies.
- Assist site managers in reviewing and analyzing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and providing necessary training.
- Maintain a strong safety and quality culture throughout the organization, emphasizing best practices.
- Manage compliance platforms such as CM3 and oversee annual surveillance audits with third-party auditors.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure timely close-outs, in accordance with WHS and Injury Management procedures.
- Monitor and update registers to track HSEQ issues and compliance requirements.
- Ensure that every project maintains a safe environment for staff, subcontractors, workers, and the general public, in alignment with company obligations.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and their application in construction projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage compliance platforms and lead incident investigations.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of safety, quality, and best practices.
