Role Overview
CAE is seeking an experienced Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to join our team. The role of an ISD is multifaceted and central to our training development approach. You will oversee the development of instructional content, which will include collaborating with SMEs, multimedia developers, content development specialists and programmers. There may also be opportunities to conduct analyses and training system design activities as well.
The can be based in either Sydney or Brisbane.
The role we are offering you
- Follow cyclical analyses, design, development, implementation and evaluation processes
- Overseeing the training development process, including tracking team progress and organising and assigning work tasks
- Development and adherence to delivery schedules
- Be the main conduit between the development team and management
Our ideal candidate has:
- Strong experience in computer-based training development or Instructional Design
- Experience working with the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF)
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116/40122)
- Experience or tertiary degree in education, adult education or instructional design

Security requirements
As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
