MAXAM Australia specialises in the supply of explosives and associated services to the mining, quarrying and civil construction industries.
The Role
Reporting to the HSEQS Manager, the purpose of this role is to coordinate and support all regulatory licenses and systems of work relating to the operations.
You will assist with the development and implementation of Safety Management Systems, standards, procedures, environmental and quality assurance processes. Through partnership with the broader HSEQS team, you will leverage your experience to identify improvement opportunities and provide HSE advice to the operational team.
Based in our Brisbane office with travel to sites across Australia as needed. This role will commence as a permanent contractor with a view to direct engagement in the future.
About You
A HSEQS advisor with working knowledge of explosives industry (desirable). You will also display:
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment in addition to being self-motivated autonomous tasks.
- Cert IV TAE qualifications (desirable) and the ability to develop and deliver in-house training packages.
- Rehabilitation Return to Work Coordinator certified (desirable or able to obtain).
- Mental Health First Aid (desirable or able to obtain).
- Cert IV WHS highly desirable or prepared to undertake - currently studying.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
- QLD Security Clearance (highly desirable) or able to obtain.
- Current Undergraduate and Post Graduate students encouraged to apply.
