HST Superintendant - Mining

We have partnered with a mining contractor, servicing the Queensland resource sector for an HST superintendent to join their team across multiple sites in the Bowin Basin area.

They are a company dedicated to HSEQ, with a focus on people, innovation and technology.

About the role

• Report to the Site project managers,
• Monday - Friday roster, with every second Friday being an RDO,
• Permanent full-time leadership position,

What you’ll be doing

• Advise and assist senior and middle management with health and safety development.
• Manage and motivate HST teams.
• Continuously implement improvement to the site safety management systems.
• Building relationships effectively with the site teams, business and Client.

About you

The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership experience at the Superintendent / Senior Advisor level within a mining context. 

In addition, you will ideally have the following:

• Tertiary qualifications in a health and safety discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years experience working in the mining industry.
• Current driver's licence.
• Ability to work with remote teams and varied stakeholders.
• Critical Risk Management and Control Verification knowledge.
• Knowledge of the Queensland mining industry's regulations and legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport with leaders and the workforce.
