Position Overview:
The Hub and Member Support Officer role is an exciting and rewarding role that is responsible for supporting the development of ethnic organisations and individuals in relation to the social and cultural life of their communities. Working in a small team environment, this impactful role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Multicultural Hub, including facility management, customer service, inductions and general office duties as directed. This role will also provide broader administration support for MCOT events and projects as required.
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience working in a complex administration capacity.
- Experience effectively and accurately managing a database.
- Experience in customer service, preferably working with CALD communities and target groups (specifically refugees, migrants, international students and women).
- Positive, can-do attitude with ability to take initiative to support all aspects of the organisation.
- Strong time management skills, with an ability to manage competing priorities and projects.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate and act within the appropriate cultural context for many different cultural groups, to build cultural capacity within community.
- High standard of written and verbal communication and collaboration skills, including oral and written communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work both with a high degree of autonomy and within a team environment with flexibility and adaptability in a challenging yet rewarding working environment.
- Actively contribute to positive teamwork in all areas of our organisation, in a truly inclusive and diverse workplace environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Coordination of day-to-day logistics for the Multicultural Hub, including facilities management, customer service, inductions and general office duties as required.
- Developing and nurturing relationships with community members, suppliers and service providers.
- Provision of administration support for MCOT’s community events
- Provide monthly Hub reports to the CEO including relevant information required by funding bodies as required.
- General administration support to the team.
- Be an influential team member across all areas of our organisation to support teamwork in a truly inclusive and diverse workplace environment.
Please note you may be required to perform other duties as reasonably directed from time to time to suit organisational requirements and which are broadly consistent with your role.
Salary
Fixed Term Part-time until 30 October 2024 (Maternity Cover)
Social, Community, Home Care, and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 - (Level 3 ) - (15 hours per week )
