About the role:
We have an opportunity for a Human Resource Business Partner who will leverage their expertise to coach people leaders to improve the effectiveness for risk controls and drive performance.
Your working week will be busy and diverse, including but not limited to the following:
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Work with managers to forecast staffing needs, particularly at peak seasons including hiring and development needs
- Work with the HR Manager to identify and prepare for major organisational change
- Coach managers on performance, behavior and decision making, including the implications such actions may have on team and business operations
- Recommend solutions to health, safety or wellbeing issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
- Work with managers to identify and implement effective retention initiatives at each site
- Develop a keen understanding of business needs and identify opportunities for growth.
To excel in this role, you will have:
- Previous HR Generalist / HRBP experience (preferably in retail sector)
- Understanding of and practical application of the Fair Work Act, HR best practices and Employment Legislation & frameworks
- You enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and working close to operations.
- Can work with multiple stakeholder groups to achieve an outcome
- Ability to think on your feet and provide alternative solutions to resolve problems
- Resilient and the ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
About you
- Has previous HRBP / HR Generalist work experience
- Good negotiation, coaching and influencing skills and a genuine and personable manner
- Experience with HR systems
- Understanding of business operations.
- Consultative and positive approach to work.
- Must be able to work 100% onsite from our Brendale office.
