About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Human Resource (HR), Quality and Safety Manager to oversee all HR, Quality and Safety initiatives and will provide operational and advisory support to the organisation in the development, implementation, assessment and review of a comprehensive risk management system, and work health and Safety management plan following safe work practices.
The role will work closely with the management team, external auditors, and accreditation agencies and provide leadership and guidance to the HR, Quality and Safety team.

To be successful person in this role, you will:
Human Resources
• Maintain all HR policies and procedures and provide guidance and interpretation to staff
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to HR, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Manage internal staff training and development program within budgetary guidelines
• Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organisation
• Advise and support HR Partners and/or management as required with the appropriate handling of underperformance and instances of misconduct
• Advise and support HR Partners and/or management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
• Research, implement and administer annual remuneration and benefits review
Quality & Safety
• Oversee the management and performance of the quality management system to ensure its ongoing effectiveness, suitability and adequacy, including the assessment of opportunities for improvement and the need for changes to the quality management system
• Manage ongoing accreditations, including but not limited to ISO and NATA
• Chair the Quality (Management Review) Committee, including the production and distribution of required reports and minutes
• Undertake management of auditing, promotion, implementation and coordinating of activities that lead to process change, continuous improvement, measurement, monitoring, analysis and reporting across the quality management systems
• Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation
• Promote risk-based thinking and a continuous improvement approach throughout the organisation
• Analyse data on the effectiveness of the quality management system and evaluate where continual improvements of the quality management system can be made
• Co-ordinate continual improvements of the quality management system, ensuring that evidence of corrective and preventive actions taken are recorded and reviewed
• Report monthly to Managing Director and wider leadership team
• Develop and execute Safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
• Conduct training and presentations foe health and Safety matters and accident prevention
• Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
• Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
• Chair the Wellbeing Program (A Healthier You) Committee
Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree qualification in HR related discipline i.e. HR Management, Management, Commerce, Psychology.
• Certified Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator.
Essentials:
• Previous experience as a Human Resources Manager
• Knowledge of Risk Management and Quality Improvement Standards
• Understanding of legal health and Safety guidelines
• Understanding of the principles of effective team leadership and team management techniques
• Able to advise and develop HR policies and practices, and to influence organisational and individual performance and behaviour at work
• Able to facilitate positive working relationships, mentor others and focus on customer (internal) needs
• Able to maintain a high level of credibility - is well respected, influences and makes a positive impression on others, behaves with integrity and ethically
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Commercial acumen
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office (intermediate level)
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
• Results driven
• Proven ability in leading change to achieve desired outcomes
• Experience in working in business improvement, internal audit and reporting functions.
