About the Role
The Human Resources Business Partner will proactively partner with people leaders, providing strategic guidance and operational support across a range of areas including:
Employee and Industrial Relations
- Compliance with the Fair Work Act, relevant Modern Awards
- Employee Relations Matters including conflict resolution, disciplinary matters and performance management
- Grievances and workplace investigations
Workforce Planning and Talent Acquisition
- Proactively work with leaders to identify and implement recruitment requirements
- Work closely with the Recruitment Coordinator
- Work with stakeholders in relation to Visa nominations where required
- Support the Recruitment Coordinator to provide advice to leaders
- Participate on relevant interview panels
Talent Development and Retention
- Support leaders and the Talent Development Coordinator with the development and retention of employees
- Conduct proactive internal training and workshops
- Proactively work with leaders to develop and implement engagement and retention strategies in line with survey feedback and best practice
Onboarding and Offboarding
- Support the HR Administrator and leaders with continuous improvement of the onboarding and offboarding process
- Coordinate the probation and separation processes
HR Strategic Projects
About You
The successful candidate will possess the following key attributes:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (or equivalent)
- At least five years experience in Human Resources within a complex organisational structure including experience of managing the recruitment cycle, performance management and employee and industrial relations
- Experience using a wide range of information technology systems and software and proven ability to learn new systems with ease
- High levels of computer competency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS)
- Demonstrated data analysis experience and an understanding of how to use data to explain and tell the story
- Sound knowledge of the requirements of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and Modern Awards
- Creative problem-solving skills with ability to devise practical solutions for complex issues
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with people at all levels of the organisation and excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills including coaching, negotiating and influencing
Special Requirements
- Some out of hours’ work may be required
- Regular metropolitan travel to SAHMRI’s various worksites
- DCSI Employment Screening and Police Checks will be required
