As the HR Manager, your primary responsibility is to devise and execute HR strategies that are in harmony with the organisation's overarching objectives and aims. You will be instrumental in nurturing a constructive work environment and enhancing employee engagement, while also ensuring the organisation attracts, retains, and cultivates exceptional talent.
Furthermore, in your role as HR Manager, you act as a bridge between management and employees, handling concerns and offering counsel on HR-related issues. Additionally, you oversee the execution and communication of HR programs and initiatives, guaranteeing their efficient implementation across the workforce.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE –
- StrategicHR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- HR Administration & Data Management: Maintain accurate and up to date employee records and HR databases. Policy Development.
- Recruitment and Selection: Take charge of the recruitment process, working closely with all stakeholders and offering assistance and direction throughout the selection and onboarding phases.
- EmployeeRelations: Provide guidance to managers on HR policies and procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, industrial awards, and agreements.
- PayrollManagement: Oversee and support payroll processes.
- RTW&Workers'Compensation: Manage workers' compensation claims process from initial reporting to resolution.
- Legal Compliance: Stay updated on relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Performance Management: Assisting in the Development and implementation of a performance management system.
- TrainingandDevelopment,ProfessionalDevelopment: Development and coordination of training and development programs.
To effectively perform in the role the position holder must have the following skills, experience, and qualifications.
Experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources management, industrial relations, or a related field.
- Preferrable is a strong orientation as a HR Generalist with experience obtained in the Transport, Logistics sector or similar field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience across HR and a minimum of 2 years in a management position.
- Strong understanding of Australian employment laws, industrial relations legislation, and agreements.
