Job Summary:
As our HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment, managing HR operations, and developing strategies that align with our organisational goals. You will be a key player in ensuring that our team remains motivated, engaged, and aligned with our core values. You will be pivotal in onboarding, developing contracts, training and induction programs, implementing incentives, adherence to relative industry awards & WHS standards, optimising roster productivity & cost savings and providing strategic advice as the business grows.
Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive workplace culture, resolve employee issues, and ensure open communication channels.
- Strategic advice: to align HR strategies with business objectives, ensuring the companies attract, develops, and retains the talent needed to achieve its goals. Ensure compensation and benefits packages are competitive and aligned with industry standards to attract and retain top talent
- Compliance: ensure compliance to all relevant industry payroll awards & WHS regulations including food safety compliance, safety measures / policies and maintain accurate employee records
- Recruitment & Onboarding: management of recruitment process from job posting to onboarding /offboarding to ensure seamless process for new hires / terminations.
- Performance Management: Implement performance management systems to provide regular feedback, goal setting & address performance issues including development of employee incentive schemes and staff appraisal schedule.
- HR Policies: Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in line with best practices
- Wage Cost Control & Analysis: assist Business Managers with roster cost analysis and advice to optimise both productivity & costs savings
- Training & Development: Identify training needs, organise learning programs, and provide career development initiatives
- Payroll Management: review & approval of weekly pay run payments & assist with ad-hoc payroll queries (payroll processing outsourced)
- Employee Engagement: Plan and execute employee engagement activities to promote a positive work environment and enhance team morale.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in HR Management, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems [Employment Hero, Deputy, Google Drive, MS Suite]
- Excellent understanding of federal and state labor laws and regulations & best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
