About the role
We are looking for an experienced person to join our site services team.
The successful person must be competent and able to perform the following duties which will include but not be limited to:
- Perform testing, maintenance, repairs and commissioning tasks on the following equipment:
- High/medium/low voltage Circuit Breakers (oil, vacuum, gas)
- Power transformers
- High/medium/low voltage Switchboards
- High Voltage transmission and distribution equipment
- Outdoor substation equipment (CT's, VT's, disconnectors, CB's etc)
- Protection relays
- High/medium voltage cables
- Substation earth systems
- Liaise with customers
- Plan work with team members
- Read and easily interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Write reports on work carried out and findings
- Mentoring of apprentices and trainees as required
- Site visits as a member of a team to perform the above testing, maintenance, and commissioning activities on high voltage electrical equipment
Candidates must possess the following:
- WA "A" Grade Electrical Workers Licence, endorsed as Electrical Mechanic or Electrical Fitter
- Working Knowledge and experience in fault diagnosis of electrical machines
- Experience in the use of specialist tools and relevant test instruments
- Experience with Transformers
- Experience in the use of gantry cranes
- Current Forklift License endorsed by WorkSafe
- C-Class Driver's Licence or equivalent
- Basic First Aid (preferable but not essential
