We are on the hunt for an experienced HVAC Service Manager to join our growing team. This role would suit an ex tradie or someone looking to get off the tools.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the Service Department, currently consisting of a service coordinator, 5 HVAC techs and 2 apprentices. Our current contracts include periodic maintenance, troubleshooting/repairs, and installations. We serviced clients from a range of industries including local government, commercial clients, real estate and private residential.
The Responsibilities of this role include:
- Assisting the service coordinator in organising, prioritising and scheduling service jobs for the team of technicians.
- Managing and developing strong respectful customer relationships with a large volume of service contracted customers.
- Manage contractual cost and reporting obligations of maintenance contracts.
- Manage and maintain Maintenance Schedules.
- Processing all job related data within our SimPRO software system. SimPRO experience highly advantageous.
- Procuring parts and ensuring spare parts are available in a timely manner for repairs.
- Working as a part of team with a strong work effort with a desire to provide the highest level of service.
- Taking ownership of service related administrative tasks with the help of the service coordinator. .
- Site inspections and quoting for all service work and some minor project work when required by the HVAC Manager.
- Ensure quality of workmanship for service and repair jobs.
- Develop, train, and grow the Service Department’s expertise.
Applicants should have the following:
- Full working rights in Australia
- Have an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Trade qualification (preferred) and/or related tertiary qualifications.
- Valid NT Drivers Licence.
- White card.
- Ability to obtain National Police Clearance.
- Ability/willingness to obtain Flu Vaccine and COVID vaccine.
- Possess a good work ethic, be reliable and enjoy being the pivot point within the team.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate and schedule many tasks simultaneously especially during our busy periods.
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and extensive customer service experience.
- Have sound Microsoft Office skills, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word
- Experience in SimPro is highly desirable.
- Well presented and able to articulate yourself
- Takes ownership of their client’s sites and have pride in their work.
- Great time management skills.
