Hybrid Cloud Graduate Engineer

Why this role exists
  
Our dedicated Engineers working in the Hybrid Cloud practice are the talented subject matter experts responsible for automation, monitoring and authentication services that make up the AC3 platform. This team is critical in ensuring that our Platforms function at an exceptional standard, to provide the most opportunity for AC3 and our customers.
  
Role Context
As part of this role, you will be seconded to the Cloud Infrastructure and SRE teams within the Hybrid Cloud practice. You will be working with all other platforms teams on a day to day basis to optimise, automate and integrate the platform, and fielding escalations from the Specialists, Professional Services and Operational Services Teams. 
  
Skills and Experience 
  
•Foundational understanding of Cloud Infrastructure – Specifically basic Network and Hypervisor functionality
•Customer service experience
•Basic understanding of common operating systems.
•Basic understanding of systems administrator tasks
•Exposure to common scripting languages 
•Currently studying (or recently completed) a computer science or engineering degree

•High level of written and verbal communications skills, with a confident, personable and professional manner

Key Aspects 
  
•Be part of a Cloud Infrastructure and Site Reliability (SRE) teams within the Hybrid Cloud Practice.
•Work constructively and cohesively with all Platforms teams – with a particular focus on the Cloud Infrastructure and SRE teams
•Understand the technology behind a hosted platform
•As required, study existing technical processes and build automation intelligence using the best tools and languages available – Jenkins / Puppet / Anisble / vRo and others.  
•Expand reporting features and other integrations where applicable. 
•Continuously improve AC3 monitoring configuration
•Assist the Platforms teams to perform platform capacity management and reporting and billing tasks using Microsoft Office tooling - automate tasks and improve processes where possible
