About the role:We are currently seeking a Facility Manager to join our dynamic team based in Mernda, Victoria. The Hygiene Manager will manage the resource planning, recruitment, management, motivation, and training of the hygiene team. The role is responsible for the site cleaning is carried out to the highest quality standard, consistency, and food safety standards are in line with Costa and customer expectations.
Key responsibilities include:- Responsible for identifying and lead continuous improvement projects driving efficiencies
- Accountable for the site’s compliance from a hygiene perspective to all relevant legislation, certification, and customer codes of practice
- Responsible for the management of the Hygiene team across the facilities ensuring appropriate resource, training and performance monitoring
- Work in close collaboration with the site leadership
- Ensure that the hygiene program and associated documentation is continually reviewed
- Degree level qualification in a Food or Science related discipline.
- A minimum 2-year experience as a Hygiene Manager or equivalent within a FMCG environment.
- Intermediate HACCP, Intermediate Food Hygiene qualified.
- Previous experience of working in the hygiene section of the food industry is desirable.
- Experienced in developing and managing project plans that are effective at delivering both process and product value improvement.
- Knowledge and experience of retailer food manufacturing standards.
- Proven experience with mentoring and developing individuals.
- Driven and embraces change.
- A level of commercial awareness.
