We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Industrial and Commercial (I&C) Engineer to join our Networks team in Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane on a Fixed term Contract.
Reporting to the Team Lead - Engineering Projects you will play a key role in Providing support technical document preparation, package engineering, construction and commissioning engineering in support of APA operations and the delivery of projects for new assets and upgrades to existing plant and equipment.
The location for this role is flexible and hybrid; we will consider locations all over Australia and/or home office. We will also consider job share arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring all mechanical and pipeline engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices.
Ensuring pipeline engineering project work is completed on time and within budget.
Preparing preliminary and detailed designs of mechanical and pipeline engineering projects and ensuring project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in the project scope of works.
Preparing documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices, and monitoring regimes in respect of work on or around pipeline engineering projects.
Liaison with other department engineers and draftspersons to ensure pipeline project goals are met.
Assisting with the preparation of the pipeline engineering budget and addressing any variances from budget.
Your background
Deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices, including pipeline engineering, to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies.
Project management skills to oversee pipeline engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
Ability to prepare preliminary and detailed designs for mechanical and pipeline engineering projects, ensuring compliance with project scope of works.
Documentation skills to prepare standards, procedures, safe working practices, and monitoring regimes for work on or around pipeline engineering projects.
Collaboration skills to liaise with other department engineers and draftspersons to achieve pipeline project goals.

Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects.
