The Department requires the services of an ICT Change and Release Manager to play a crucial role in overseeing and facilitating the implementation of technical changes across various systems and processes within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the impact of technical changes on existing systems, processes, and personnel.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure that technical changes are implemented efficiently and effectively, minimising disruption to operations.
- Provide guidance and support to departmental staff on adapting/adhering to and utilising the technical change management processes.
- Experience in technical change management, product delivery management, or an ICT delivery related role, preferably in a government or public sector environment.
- Strong understanding and certifications in ITIL framework, and Release management best practices.
- Proficiency in assessing technical requirements and impacts as well as developing strategies to mitigate risks and optimise outcomes.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Demonstrated experience in managing the Change Management process, including running Change Advisory Boards in large organisations.
- Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.
- Experience in planning and managing implementations of software releases through development and into Production including and coordination of development, testing and ICT technical teams.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- ITIL 3 or ITIL 4 Foundations certification or equivalent demonstrated experience implementing recognised IT Service Management methodologies within a highly complex and evolving environment.
