A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage a skilled Advisor (ICT Contracts and Procurement) to join a highly capable team. The department is seeking to engage an advisor to join the ICT Contracts and Procurement team, with a focus on software licensing procurement and management. The successful Advisor (ICT Contracts and Procurement) will be offered a 12 month contract with 1 x 6 months of extension options!
The successful Advisor (ICT Contracts and Procurement) will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Establishing and maintaining Effective Licensing Positions (ELPs), that reconcile license entitlements against license consumption across the organisation’s software portfolio.
- Leading and conducting software audits, including license true ups for major software suppliers such as Microsoft and Adobe.
- Managing software related contracts, leading new software procurements and negotiating software renewals (including SaaS and other Cloud technologies).
The successful Advisor (ICT Contracts and Procurement) will have experience in the following:
- Experience managing complex procurements in a government setting, including approvals, requirements gathering, evaluation, negotiations, and contract closure.
- Experience with Prince2, APM, Agile, and Waterfall methods is desirable.
- Ability to manage complex relationships, and to drive performance of 3rd party suppliers.
- Sound knowledge of the Australian Government Financial Framework, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and their application.
