A dynamic State Government department is seeking an experienced Policy/Procurement Advisorto contribute to the departments procurement reform agenda by developing, advising and implementing procurement legislation, training and guidance. The successful Policy/Procurement Advisor will be offered an initial contract to 30 June with the view to extend.
The successful Policy/Procurement Advisor will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Undertaking relevant research and analysis activities
- Contributing to the development of new policy objectives and facilitating policy evaluations
- Preparing documentation Minister, Cabinet and Senior executives
The successful Policy/Procurement Advisor will have experience in the following:
- Experience in the development of Ministerial or Cabinet briefings, policy, guidance documents, stakeholder communications and/or research papers
- Understanding of Government procurement frameworks is highly desirable
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a face paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and liaison skills
