AddressCompas are looking for multiple ICT Hardware / Asset Manager to work on a long-term contract within a federal government department. This role involves overseeing the business processes as part of a broader team for acquisition, deployment, utilisation, and disposal of IT assets to support the department's financial requirements and operational objectives.
12-month contract with extensions
Must have a negative vetting 1 clearance
Responsibilities
- Identifying and facilitating the evaluation of IT assets and equipment for approval to use in the department’s ecosystem.
- Developing and maintaining an accurate inventory of all IT assets,including hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals.
- Maintaining and improving ICT Product Catalogue lifecycle processes.
- Having a deep technical understanding of IT assets and interoperability between devices.
- Building strong relationships with hardware vendors to track lifecycle dates and identify like for like replacement options.
- Implementing strategies for the lifecycle management of IT assets, including tracking warranties, licenses, and maintenance contracts to ensure timely renewals and replacements.
- Establishing mechanisms for tracking and monitoring the usage, location, and condition of IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with IT asset management, including potential security vulnerabilities, operational disruptions, and financial implications.
- Negotiating and optimising service delivery related to IT asset management.
- Preparing regular reports and analysis on IT asset inventory, utilisation, costs, and compliance for management review and decision-making.
