They are currently looking for an ICT Help Desk Technician to join their team in Sydney.

This position is responsible for providing the required 1st level support and request handling for all local operations in the APAC region that are served by our Company.

Key Responsibilities, tasks and duties:

  • Acceptance, verification and carrying out or initiation of implementing the service requests.
  • Ad hoc tasks in the area of software deployment via SCCM.
  • Adequate documentation of all service requests processed through the request fulfillment processes and of solutions in our central knowledge base.
  • Carrying out 1st level supports and ensuring a timely processing of all incidents in area of responsibility (local offices in the APAC region).
  • Communication with the user and ensuring that the user is informed adequately about the progress of ticket processing and the status of the requests if needed.
  • Control of night processing.
  • Coordinating the solution of incidents with the 2nd level support in IT Operations and IT Business Solutions.
  • Defined tasks in the area of local infrastructure support together with the responsible Group IT service responsibility (e.g. backup tasks, local network support, local supplier handling for telephony).
  • Performance monitoring and evaluation (monitoring and reporting).
  • Provide the demand-oriented design of new or existing workflows that are maintained centrally (deliver input, discuss open topics, raise demands regarding the user service portal).
  • Support of local projects in Australia as well as Group IT projects to a certain degree that have been agreed with the line manager at the Head Office.
To be considered you will need a relevant Qualification plus at least 2 years of work experience in the nominated role, OR; at least 3 years of relevant work experience in the nominated role.

This is a full time position, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $80,000 - $90,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
