Randstad Defence is currently working with a specialised IT service provider who are currently supporting the Joint Collective Training Branch (JCTB) in defence to deliver simulation systems used in training ADF personnel.

- Provide technical support and respond to ticketing and scheduling priorities within the Network Engineering team at JTCB.
- Monitor tools for hardware or path failures and report to the Network Lead on links, sites and exercises.
- Comply with the Service Management Policy at JCTB
- Configure routers, switches, firewall, and hardware and software systems.
- Provide network operations and service management support.
- Work closely with the Network Voice Engineer and assist NAT traversal of VoIP and VTC protocols.
- Keep up to date with current and new network design and technologies, and provide input to JTCB policies and processes.
- Work as part of a network monitoring team to ensure network operations are efficient, secure, and provide status on major issues that may arise.
- Tertiary qualifications in Network Engineering or Computer Science degree with network specialisation.
- Experience in a technical role related to Network Engineering, or experience with network technology in the military.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) vendor certification, or higher.
- ITIL Service Framework certification.
- Proven experience in network design, implementation, and network operations.
- Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
