Form of workThere is an exciting opportunity for you to join the Procurement & Supply Chain Optimisation Portfolio in the Department of Health as the ICT Project Manager. Through exceptional project management and communication skills, you will oversee delivery of relevant Digital Enablement initiatives to drive operational improvements, support capability uplift, and enhance the broader end-to-end procurement environment.
The ICT Project Manager will facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business, and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
About the Procurement & Supply Chain Optimisation Portfolio:
The Procurement & Supply Chain Optimisation (P&SCO) Portfolio builds on the foundational work undertaken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to drive operational enhancements and realise further Queensland Health system-wide benefits. The P&SCO Portfolio is a time-limited, temporary work program, currently consisting of three program workstreams, designed to improve procurement and supply chain operations across Queensland Health.
What we are looking for:
- Demonstrated background in successfully establishing, managing and delivering complex and large-scale ICT projects, applying project methodologies and providing advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques and tools.
- Well-developed leadership and management skills, and experience in building and sustaining high profile multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve high quality project outcomes.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal competence, including resilience and a proven ability to lead negotiations, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivate others in a significant environment of reform and change.
- Proven issue identification, analytical and research skills, problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative, sensitive and practical solutions and provide expert strategic advice to complex issues.
- Experience leading procurement data cleansing and migration projects will also be an advantage.
