Role Description:
Our utilities client is seeking an ICT Project Manager, who plans, organizes, directs, controls and coordinates quality accredited ICT projects. Accountable for day-to-day operations of resourcing, scheduling, prioritization and task coordination, and meeting project milestones, objectives and deliverables within agreed timeframes and budgets. This Project Manager will work within its diverse and intricate digital environment to steer the team towards achieving successful results, while effectively fostering collaboration and coordination among subject matter experts. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of IT industry along with specific experience delivering systems that are transactional such as workflow, billing and customer information systems.
Description of Employment Duties:
- analyzing information needs and specifying technology to meet those needs
- formulating and directing information and communication technology (ICT) strategies, policies and plans
- directing the selection and installation of ICT resources and the provision of user training
- directing ICT operations and setting priorities between system developments, maintenance and operations
- overseeing the security of ICT systems
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in managing complex IT projects in large organizations (particularly involving complex integrations) and understanding the delivery risks and management challenges.
- Experience in leading and supporting a high-performance, multi-stream team of resources.
- Strong project management discipline, outcome focused and good attention to detail.
- Extensive experience in MS Project for scheduling, reporting, and managing risks and issues, with a requirement for proficiency in Jira and DevOps tools.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills at executive and operational levels, including demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, manage expectations and resolve conflict.
- Experienced in managing external vendor(s) in their delivery of contracted deliverables and milestones.
- Demonstrated expertise managing and collaborating with external delivery partners and vendors.
- Experience in options analysis, implementation planning and very strong team management skills.
