Enterprise Technology (ET) function is within the Investment and Technology division which defines investment strategy and delivers commercial and information technology services to drive high performance and improved commercial outcomes within the department.
The Solution Design and Delivery (SDD) team focusses on delivering ICT services and solutions that unite people, processes and systems to form an integrated, high performing and efficient Department of Transport and Planning. The team thrives on working collaboratively with its stakeholders to achieve exceptional results for the department. Solution Design and Delivery team is responsible for delivering ICT enabled change across the department with a significant portfolio of work currently underway and in the pipeline. The Solution Design and Delivery team comprises of the full suite of project resource disciplines with Project/Program Management, Program Management Office, Business Analysis, Solution Architecture, Test Management, Change Management and DevOps functions.

About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Full Time position until 30/06/2025.
About the Role
The ICT Test Lead is responsible for defining test plans and executing testing for the different verticals of testing, digital and functional testing, including User Acceptance Testing. Working with team members, they are responsible for test planning, and execution of testing to assure the quality of deliverables for business stakeholders.

Position Accountabilities
The individual needs to develop and maintain detailed test plans, communicate progress, collaborate with business representatives, and lead the development of testing requirements and scenarios to align with project goals. Manage the defect management process, produce test reports, and establish comprehensive test environments, while fostering team cohesion and advocating for a safe, inclusive, and productive work environment.

- Effective and Compliant Decision Making: Proven track record in adeptly overseeing third-party development vendors and stakeholder management, ensuring seamless alignment with the DTP testing strategy and meeting business expectations.

Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
- Testing experience in waterfall, agile and hybrid projects.
- Tools – TestRail, JIRA, SQL, ALM
Desirable
- Demonstrated success adapting to a fast-paced environment.
