Additional Information:
• These roles are Permanent, Part-time, 40hrs/fortnight and Temporary (until 10th November 2024) Part-time, 40hrs/fortnight.
• The internal job title for this role is Sales Co-worker or Activity Co-worker
• As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts, including availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday). The operations generally range between the window of 8am to 9pm, and rosters are published four weeks in advance.

As Sales Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions.
• Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth.
• Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Assembling displays for the introduction of new products.
We are looking for co-workers in the following areas:
Markethall - Textiles, Rugs & Bathshop (Temporary role, until November 2024)
• Being an expert and passionate about the IKEA product range; and actively learning about their features and benefits.
• Replenishing and condensing stock levels throughout your shift and ensuring your area of responsibility is always well-stocked, correctly priced/labelled, and presentable.
• Comfortable with on-the-job physical activity such as lifting, pushing/pulling, sliding/transferring of stock (rugs) which vary in size and weight.
Markethall – Cookshop and Lighting
• Being an expert and passionate about the IKEA product range; and actively learning about their features and benefits.
• Replenishing and condensing stock levels throughout your shift and ensuring your area of responsibility is always well-stocked, correctly priced/labelled, and presentable.
• Analysing sales space capacities based on system parameters to secure high stock availability.
Commercial Activity
• Supporting customer enquiries and directing them to the appropriate department or location
• Working closely with the Sales and wider Commercial Team to ensure all price tags are displayed correctly and visibly especially during campaigns and promotions.
• Condensing stock, including unloading pallets and cutting boxes open to restock appropriate products.
As Sales Co-worker you are or have:
• Passionate about learning and sharing the IKEA product range and services with customers.
• Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA IT systems.
• Able to prioritise multiple tasks and thrive in a high-volume customer facing environment.
• A customer-focused mindset and always strive to deliver a memorable shopping experience. Prior experience within sales or customer service in home furnishing retail is desirable.
• A safety mindset; being comfortable with on-the-job physical activity and manual handling including repetitive lifting.
• A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently.
