About the Role
Join our fantastic team with an opportunity for an experienced Operations Officer to take their freight forwarding career to the next level!
Based in our Melbourne head office, located in Southbank, you will join a passionate and supportive team that has a wealth of experience and knowledge and that will support your professional growth.
Your day-to-day will involve performing end-to-end freight forwarding operations and developing and maintaining relationships with our clients and service providers, with a focus on import cartage coordination. Our “Commitment to Service” philosophy encourages every member of our organisation to provide a high level of proactive customer service and support.
As an experienced freight forwarding operator, you will know the role is hands on and can be busy, and you will relish both the challenge and opportunity to go the extra mile and deliver an amazing customer experience for our clients.
To be successful you will:
- Have prior experience as an import/export freight forwarding operator
- Have sea, air and cartage import/export experience
- Prior experience with import cartage will be highly regarded
- Be well organised, with a strong attention to detail
- Be able to effectively manage your time to meet deadlines
- Enjoy helping customers, with a drive to deliver outstanding customer service
- Be an excellent verbal and written communicator over phone and email
- Enjoying working as part of a team, and independently
- Have basic computer skills, with Cargowise, ICS and 1-Stop knowledge and experience (or similar) highly desirable
