Traineeship
Our Melbourne branch has an excellent opportunity for a motivated recent school leaver to join our Freight Forwarding Traineeship program. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to get on the job training whilst studying for a nationally recognised Certificate 3 qualification – all supported and paid for by us!
The Traineeship will initially be offered as a 2-year fixed term contract but with the possibility of going perm on successful completion of the Certificate 3. Now is a great time to join us as we grow and prepare to move into a brand new and bigger office and warehouse in Tullamarine in 2025.
Your Traineeship will help you
- Learn about an essential industry that is Freight Forwarding
- Gain hands on experience in Import Sea operations using CargoWise
- Understand shipping transportation regulations
- Submit cargo reports and monitor KPIs in line with Australian government requirements
- Identify documents required by various governing bodies
- Register for shipments and liaise with contractors, customs, shipping lines and carriers
- Understand the challenges of cargo movements and how to help clients resolve issues
- Understand financial transactions within freight forwarding
About you
- Strong commitment and motivation with a desire to learn
- Good literacy and communication skills (reading, writing, numerical, verbal)
- Competent in I.T. skills with the ability to learn new systems
- A team player who is not afraid to ask questions and contribute to the team
