Transport and logistics – “sounds boring” I hear you cry. Wrong. We are a group of vibrant and dynamic professionals shaking up the industry. We’re turning that yawn into ‘yahoo’!

Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change. Jim Rohn
Who are we?
We are a well-established business in the transport and logistics industry, taking the good parts from our old-school values (our CEOs dad started the company in 1996) and turning them into new school ideas and service offerings.
Our team is young in age but rich in knowledge, with over 50 years of combined industry experience, so you’re really learning from the best. One of the things that makes us stand out as a market leader, is that we’ve worked out how to inject a vibrant and fresh offering into an industry that has been traditionally stuck in its ways.
If this excites you, read on.
What’s the role?
This is a newly created position, so you will need to be ok with helping us iron out the teething issues initially!
Your main responsibilities:
- Manage and support an effective Customer Service team with a focus on enhancing performance and growing innovative behaviours within the team.
- Regular evaluation of team performance against agreed metrics
- Contribute to leadership activities surrounding culture, strategy and performance.
- Review and maintain all formal operations-related policies and procedures.
- Design new and improve current ways of working across the business.
- Identify and ensure key risks for the business are tracked and managed.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding for all staff and clients.
- Maintain position descriptions and organisational charts.
- Manage OH&S requirements for the business.
What skills and capabilities are required?
The most important attribute to being successful in this role (and any role within our business for that matter) is a positive mindset.
You need to possess the same passion and drive as we do to join our hard-workingteam. We understand that we would be asking for a unicorn when we say we want someone passionate about transport (who is passionate about transporting something from point A to point B…am I right?) Instead, we want someone who has a can-do attitude and who is committed to excellence. You are a person who has a passion for customer service and a high level of emotional intelligence.
The core capabilities we value:
- Building trust and genuine relationships
- Honesty, integrity, and hard work
- Resilience and the ability to keep going when things get tough
- Ability to problem solve and think laterally
Important Extras:
Ok, if you’ve got this far, you’ve GOT to apply! But here a few important extras that we want you to read before clicking that button.
- We have a dedicated team who all work together to help each other out – you will be keen to pull up your socks and get stuck in
- You need to be supremely comfortable with being accountable for the part you play in our business - we’ll give you all the support you need to succeed, but you need to own the role
- You will need to be a self-starter with a high level of accountability and ownership
- We treat people with respect – regardless of their job title
- We keep our promises and get back to people on time, every time we say we will
- This role is not for the faint-hearted. It is hard work, uncomfortable and challenging at times, however, it offers a huge upside if you are a driven individual wanting to succeed.
- If you are looking to sit back and have a cruisy time, you will not be successful in this role
- Please do not apply for this job if you are not good at giving and receiving constructive feedback – constructive, frequent feedback (both ways) is super important to us and can only help us all improve in our roles
