In response to this company's growth, they are looking for an in-house lawyer to join their head office team. Reporting directly to company stakeholders, the role involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including:
-Supervising a diverse team of legal professionals.
-Updating and refining procurement contracts in line with evolving business dynamics.
-Managing commercial dispute cases and coordinating with external legal advisors.
-Offering counsel on employment law matters and supporting Human Resources in dispute resolution.
-Mediating consumer law disputes to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
-Regularly revising contracts and agreements to accommodate changing business needs.
-Taking independent charge of court proceedings as necessary.ABOUT YOU:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
-A Bachelor of Laws degree
-A minimum of four years' experience in litigation, dispute resolution, consumer law, or employment law.
-Demonstrated ability in strategic thinking, resourcefulness, and offering innovative legal solutions.
-Proficiency in both team collaboration and independent work.
-Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
-Exceptional attention to detail is imperative.BENEFITS:
-Competitive salary $150,000 - $250,000 plus superannuation (depending on experience)
-Standard working hours: 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
