About the role
This opportunity will see you join our in-house legal and risk team for a 12-month contract starting June 2024. We are open to 4 or 5 days per week for this position.
As a mid/senior level lawyer, you'll provide internal advice, ensuring compliance with laws and best practices. You'll engage with senior management, Practice Group Leaders, Partners, and internal teams, contributing to significant initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing conflict issues, confidentiality, and information barriers, in collaboration with partners, lawyers, and stakeholders.
- Reviewing and advising on client terms/cost agreements and commercial contracts.
- Assisting with strategic initiatives, projects, and providing legal advice.
- Overseeing the firm’s securities trading clearance process.
- Conducting AML/KYC research for client onboarding.
- Assisting the General Counsel and managing team inbox and internal planner.
To be successful in this role, we're looking for a minimum 4 years PQE, and:
- Superior analytical, communication, drafting, and research skills.
- Commercial awareness and a solution-focused mindset.
- The ability to manage competing demands within tight timeframes.
- Proficiency in establishing and maintaining information barriers.
- Experience in securities trading clearance process management.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Energy and capacity to provide legal advice across various issues.
