About Us
In December 2021, Golf Australia (GA), the Professional Golfers Association of Australia (PGA), and the WPGA Tour of Australasia (WPGA) unveiled the Australian Golf Strategy, marking the debut of an industry-wide strategic plan for the sport.
United by a clear vision and ambitious growth goals, we are all dedicated to the strategy's mission: to inspire more Australians to embrace the joy of golf.
The PGA stands as the peak professional body in Australia, committed to creating career opportunities and advancing the industry for over 2,800 current PGA Professionals. It drives world-class golf education and manages Australasia’s top men’s and women’s professional tours - the PGA Tour of Australasia and the WPGA Tour of Australasia.
Golf Australia serves as the governing body for golf in the country. Its membership structure begins with State Associations, extending to golf regions, associations, clubs, and individual club members nationwide. Over 1,400 golf clubs and 425,000 club members are affiliated with GA, benefiting from membership and access to the GA Handicap system. GA's mission is to support golf clubs and facilities while fostering participation, promoting growth, enhancing diversity, and presenting golf as an inclusive sport for all.
To streamline collaboration and service sharing, Australian Golf Services (AGS) was established. Jointly owned by GA and PGA of Australia, AGS combines specialised areas of both organisations to support and expand golf in Australia.
