LICENSED INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN | CRANE SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 3.30pm

Our client is an established Australian “family owned” company involved in the design, manufacture, maintenance repair and installation; including but not limited to, Overhead Travelling Cranes, Jib Cranes, Vacuum Lifters, Chain Hoists, Vehicle Hoists and Vehicle Loading Cranes of all makes and models.
They are in need of an experienced Industrial Electrician with mechanical aptitude who is interested in training as a Crane Service Technician.
DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work as a member of the Service Team to carry out regular routine maintenance of lifting and materials handling equipment ensuring all activities are performed safely and productively following company processes, policies and procedures.
- Provides afterhours breakdown support both independently as well as a member of a team.
- Undertake installation and relocation of lifting equipment at customer’s workplaces.
- To prepare clear and comprehensive service reports documenting the service work undertaken, highlighting any additional repairs required.
- Have the ability to carry out a safety risk assessment and complete JSA, SWMS and Take 5 documentation.
- Develop excellent customer relationships and operate in a manner that enhances the brand and reputation of our products and services.
- Use scissor lifts, boom lifts and forklifts (as required) to access industrial lifting equipment to check performance, and undertake repairs as required.
- Understand and follow the regulatory framework, including WHS&E legislation and Australian Standards. This includes ensuring customers are aware of their obligations.
- To provide ongoing customer feedback and assistance to the Service Manager, Sales and Service Team
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications and Licenses:
- Qualified licensed Electrician / Qualified Electrical Fitter / Qualified Fitter or Boiler Maker (with a Restricted Electrical Licence)
- Current drivers’ licence
- Current High Risk Work Licence
- Working at heights
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (crane industry)
- Well-established industrial equipment experience
- Minimum 4 years industrial maintenance experience
- Must have good mechanical aptitude
