We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mine Monitoring & Control Co-ordinator to join the Mine Monitor and Control team at Peabody’s Wilpinjong mine. As the MMC Co-ordinator you will play a key role in working with our established dispatch team in maintaining the steady flow, whilst looking to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
Our Wilpinjong mine is a relatively low strip open-cut coal mine located 58 kilometres northeast of Mudgee producing a high-quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets. We use predominately truck & excavator mining and dozer bulk pushing in our overburden, coal and rehab operations primarily utilising CAT mechanical fleet.
Proving great stability to our employees, we have a mine life in the 2030s, 67M Tonnes of proven and probable coal and a great collaboration of teammates looking to extend our mine life out to the decades. Across the entire operation's stakeholder teams in plant operations, maintenance, engineering, and production, we are looking for those who will deliver to plan, work effectively and collaboratively in delivering an outcome of excellence and assisting us in our innovation.
Working closely with the Production Superintendent, Senior crew supervisor, and our crew dispatchers you will have the opportunity to positively affect production output by providing guidance, system upskilling and troubleshooting issues to our dispatch team.
Duties for the MMC Co-ordinator will include: -
- Set and demonstrate a proactive approach to health, safety and environmental standards and ensure a safe working environment is maintained.
- Ensuring integrity of dispatch daily data.
- Ensure all information is collected, inputted, and communicated in an accurate and timely manner.
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, IT & Operational technology to ensure continuous and effective operation.
- Be an active participant in the continuous improvement program.
- Work closely with Tech Services and Production Engineers to achieve the material movements according to shift plans.
- Assist with projects relating to the monitoring and automation of the mine processes.
- Engage with a crew full of diverse personalities to delivery monthly and daily plans with high levels of conformance.

- Demonstrated experience working in a mine control environment.
- A high commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with capacity to prioritise tasks and respond promptly to changing circumstances.
- Literacy using spreadsheets, databases, and word processing applications.
- A positive and self-motivated approach to your work.
- High analytical skills & technical competencies
- Demonstrated ability to influence peers.
- Ability to work within a team and unsupervised.
The lifestyle:- This position is dayshift only Monday to Friday.
