We're seeking an exceptional Industry Engagement Manager to lead and coordinate the efforts of SWPCs, developing evidence-based Workforce Plans informed by engagement with industry that will shape the landscape of vocational education and training (VET).
Your Role: As an Industry Engagement Manager, you will be a key driver in bridging industry needs and workforce development. You will:
• Foster relationships with senior industry leaders, government officials, unions, and other stakeholders.
• Engage with industry and coordinate with the SWPC to lead the development of strategic Workforce Plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.
• Provide insights on the "future of work" through data interpretation and collaboration with our Research and Analytics Team.
• Facilitate Communities of Practice and regional initiatives to address workforce challenges.
• Contribute to the development of meaningful advice for policymakers in the VET sector.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Strong communication, engagement, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret data and develop insights for workforce planning initiatives.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and preparation of written material.
• Ability to work with quantitative and qualitative data to drive project formulation.
• Resilience in a complex operating environment and the ability to provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Understanding of workforce planning, VET, and industry dynamics will be an added advantage.
• Experience in workforce development and/or VET policy environments previous experience in Rail industries will be an added advantage.
